Functional Genomics of Bud Endodormancy Induction

Goal: Identify mechanisms regulating grape bud endodormancy induction and maintenance using an integrated genetic and functional genomic approach.  NSF-DBI0604755 see webpage at http://vitis-dormancy.sdstate.org

Grape cultivar evaluation

Emerging hybrid cultivars from Minnesota and New York are being tested in South Dakota for winter survival and fruit quality.  For more information contact Anne.Fennell@sdstate.edu.

Mapping grapevine winter survival traits

Research leading to the identification of traits and genes involved in acclimation and cold  hardiness is being conducted at South Dakota State University in cooperation with the University of Minnesota and USDA-ARS Grape Genetic Unit, Geneva, NY.
